Twice a week I facilitate an online Book Club with the hope of coming out of this quarantine with a remnant more educated, equipped, and mobilized to seeking justice. The hope is to facilitate a community dialogue with the author of each book after we complete it. Our last book was The Color of Compromise, by Jemar Tisby, an exceptional work.
On Monday I facilitated the online community dialogue with Jemar Tisby, a writer, speaker, avid historian, and all around incredible human. Jemar dropped some nuggets of wisdom and insight that I am still chewing on; the dialogue was among the richest I've experienced. His ability to communicate human dynamics and the injustices that often undergird them is exceptional. Furthermore, for a man with such an influential voice he remains humble, genuine, and down-to-earth. Please support his work.
Here's how to find him:
Author, The Color of Compromise, 2019
