Decolonizing the Christmas Story

In a moment when our world is marked by political unrest, state violence, displacement, and widening inequality, the real story of Jesus’ birth speaks with urgent relevance.

The birth of Jesus wasn’t a cozy holiday tale — it was a revolutionary act of God breaking into history through the margins.

In this short course, you’ll uncover the real socio‑political world of Jesus’ birth — Roman occupation, economic exploitation, and the policing of colonized peoples — and see how every familiar scene becomes a declaration of divine solidarity with the oppressed.

By the end, you won’t see Christmas as a sentimental myth — you’ll see it as a summons to embody the radical love of the God revealed in Brown Jesus of Nazareth.
